I had a problem over Christmas with some malware action - did the normal Spybot/Adaware and it didn't work - what did work was Malware Bytes, Anti-Malware Malwarebytes.org

Found some nasty things sitting in my System32 directory and a load of iffy registry entries

It's a pain unfortunately. See here: Remove Internet Antivirus Pro (Removal Instructions) 411-Spyware.com

The Malwarebytes app I link to above does the full removal and its free! Why did you pay 34 euros for Mac's commission?

Or in fact do it yourself by killing the files & the registry entries

Is that the same as the Antivirus 2009 trojan? I had that on my server and it was a right PITA to get rid of. Every time I thought I'd got rid of it a load more files sprang up. GData antivirus got rid of it in the end.

Have seen a lot of this Antivirus 2009 on our laptops! It's a pain. Somethimes the bods do click and install, other times we see it when they come in for other work!

I tried your one Bazza, scanned it and it didn't pick up any of the infected files!!
I looked at doing it myself by tought it could get messy, so thought let work pay for it instead and all done in 2 mins. Also like to give a Mac bonus in these tough times.....
