Default Create ringtones for your iPhone in iTunes
Found this video. How To Create Free iPhone Ringtone With iTunes 8 ( Video Tutorial ) It works perfectly. What the video neglects to mention is that ringtones MUST NOT be longer than 30 secs otherwise they will not sync to the iPhone.
