Gemmzl
Hi, I'm just wondering what mileage people are getting from a full tank on the Edition 30? Please can you state what fuel you are using? Thanks Darren
JonnyGTi
I'm getting an average of 27mpg out of my manual ED30 using V-Power - equates to about 320 miles for a full tank (55 litres?) - but realistically I'm having to fill up at around 270 miles. My previous DSG GTi managed 29mpg for same driving conditions by comparison.
Gemmzl
That surprises me...... I've got a Mkiv R32 and i'm getting 310-320 from a tank. Maybe i'm driving it like a granny? My journey to work consists at 50mph most of the way with hardly any stops. Obviously that helps a lot.
chriswastle
I too get about 270 miles before i fill up, and i put about 46 litres in. So 27mpg !!! Not happy with it and never have been to be honest.

[/ QUOTE ] Well I have a stop / start commute into a city centre everyday which perhaps explains the lowish figure. I got less than 24mpg out of a Mk4 V6 4-motion - same journey. At 50mph you are in the ideal range for high mpg - if you can keep the revs less than around 2500, while cruising, you can get over 30mpg average
dogbucket
long term average is normally about 30.5mpg, best on any one trip was 41mpg. Anywhere from 310-360 miles per tank. My R32 averaged about 25mpg I think
farmerpalmer
Always use 99 RON (tesco super... ) fill up is around 340 -400 miles. 340 miles is mixed driving. get around 400miles if i am on a long motorway haul.
Tarmac_Terrorist
Generally get about 32 mpg - more on a long run
Muppetboy
30-31mpg but that's a lot of fast motorway driving... if you take it easy 35-40mpg is easily obtained on my commute. But feck that
Sealy
Average 300 miles on a full tank of Tesco 99. (My wifes Honda Civic Type R is significantly worse than my ED30)
Matt R
Mine with 2000 miles on is struggling to get to 30 mpg on my journey to work, my previous GTI's (DSG and Manual) used to regularly get 35-36mpg.

jhal
i average about 34Mpg on the run to work. 27 miles each way. about 20 motorway and the rest b-roads. stop and start a lot at the work end of the journey. best ever was 42Mpg on a 250mile trip, mixed b-roads and motorway. from a 50Eur tank, about 47liters to 20 indicated remaining miles, i get about 380miles on Maxol E5
