Your 3 car dream garage

80 posts in this topic

OK, been done before, but with all the Monday doom and gloom a bit of daydreaming might do us some good, I'll start the ball rolling :

1-Veyron. Looks, performance, and I'm guessing reliable enough to use for my work, as I don't do many miles anymore.

2-Volvo V70R. Family bus that even Mrs D should be safe driving, a better choice than any SUV nonsense, quick too.

3-BMW M6 (the old one). Lovely classic, one for the weekend, in grey please.

Over to you...

You know, before i bought my first Audi S6, i was so close to buying an Alpina.. almost signed the line, but i just couldn't be convinced about residuals.. it's a specialised market.

Mind you, the residuals on the cars I've listed above wouldn't be too hot either grin.gif

Only three?! tongue.gif

Erm...

1. Lexus LS460 SE - the daily driver. The SE is the one with the best car hifi in the world bar none, but without the feckin camera that checks whether you're concentrating, or that gimmick where it parks itself as long as the space is the length of the Queen Mary.

2. Bugatti Veyron - the weekend toy. Realistically something like a 911 GT3 or a Fezza F599 would be more useable, but seeing as I'm only allowed three cars, it just has to be the Veyron. How can one not?

3. 1962 Ferrari 250 California SWB - the classic. The most beautiful car ever created.

Track Car: Caparo T1

It would be too easy if there were more than 3 choices, so I'm working alone the lines of 1 classic, 1 practical and 1 fun.

A few Veyron votes surprises me.

Strictly speaking, if you want a new one, it would be a QT Wildcat, as Drew sold the rights to it to concentrate on Nemesis production...

I have a tendency not to mix the 'era' of my dream cars - I like the moderns to be modern and the classics to be classic - so I'd have to be pushed to choose my ideal garage from the following 2 groups of 3.

Modern

1)Ferrari F430

2)BMW 335d Sport Saloon (IMO the best all rounder on the market atm)

3)Mercedes-Benz CLK55 DTM (not sure if they do a '63' now?)

Classic

1) 1965 Mustang convertable

2) 1960 Aston Martin DB4

3) 1969 Shelby Mustang GT

1) DBS - For the looks and sound

2) 335d M Sport Touring - Practical and for the family wink.gif

3) Veyron - It would be rude not to.
