I've been told that VW have warned staff not to reveal them before the date - so 'having work to do' might mean 'more than my jobs worth' FIREdevil.gif

I think every dealer has them now - its just a case of us getting pictures.

Hardly, We have one in the showroom as will most dealers as of last friday, Its more of a case of using an 8800 that takes crap pictures!

Oh and also the fact that I don't really want to look like an vw anorak in the showroom taking pics! fekr.gif

Thanks for the pics Matt. Is that a Sport model? Do you know when the 170bhp diesel will be released.

Looks a bit better than I expected but still maybe a bit short looking.

And another question Matt that you could answer. I know this is a brand new model but with todays climate I would expect discount should be available from the start, is that a correct thought and what kind of discount should we expect.

It is a sport model, we also have an Escape model in the showroom, which I think looks a bit ugly!

The 170 version is due in July this year, along with the TSi 170 and the 200Tfsi.

I think it will be hard to get a discount on them as we are a very large dealership and only have an allocation of about 20 for the entire year!

So how many will hit the UK each year if a large dealer only has 20 to sell, sounds quite exclusive.

I think they want to get them seen and in the market place and will keep first year production a little short to try to increase demand - perceived exclusivity.

Saying that you might find someone who will give you a discount. Doesnt look too bad in the pics - and thanks for posting them - looks like it might have a boot size comparable to my old Lupo crazy.gif

Like the front (except the dodgy sized indicator) and the back is a bit of a shame. Standard inside really.

popped in to my local dealers this morning on the way in to work, must say it looks a nice piece of kit.might book a test drive next week as the missus quite fancies one and it will keep her out of the R jump.gif

Beadles in dartford... it looks tongue.gifoo: in my opinion smashfreakB.gif

Kind of a pointless car, not big enough for a family SUV, but too big to be a family saloon.

It has a neat self parking system as an option though 169144-ok.gif

I don't like it smashfreakB.gif

I think the boot is where it will lose sales!

[/ QUOTE ]

...Yes the boot space is very disappointing and will put a lot of people off.

Seeing the car in the flesh I quite liked the overall appearance.

From the pre release pictures I thought it might look like the dreadful Mazda Demios.

Once they bring out an Accessories Package with side steps and chrome bits I can really see it being a 'sensible' alternative to a Toureag.

Black paint, Leather, Nav, 19 inch wheels, tints and a 2.0TDI 170bhp engine 169144-ok.gif

Well mine arrives tomorrow so I'll give a quick review. Hoping I've bagged one of the new common rail TDi versions.
