Last week saw a trip down to london to prep this new (ish) Audi S5.

Unfortunately it had already had a small scrape and had a couple of panels resprayed. The quality of the work was very good and without a paint depth guage was difficult to see it was a respray... but the usual tell tail signs of a bodyshop quicky jumped out at you when the sun came out..

A few other areas polished including some really nasty deep scratches on the roof which were wet sanded and still didnt come out in full but improved 90%.

Then the car was treated with HD Cleanse and then given a coat of Vintage wax.

finishing pictures..just as it started to rain a bit :(

thanks for looking

Hi

So the first major detail for a while was this 11 year old dark blue DB7. Recently purchased and given a clean bill of health by Rikki Cann AM specialist, I was then called in to put the icing on the cake so to speak.

Full wash process and then clayed before being taped up. PTG showed the near side had seen a respray but all depths were safe for polishing.

Polishing was done on a megs polishing pad with a mix of ip3.02 and 106fa.

Some before and after. (apologies for the blurring... i'm obviously out of practice. Also note some of the RDS were re polished but some remained)

Then the car was waxed with Vintage which cured while the interior was vacuumed and leather treated with gliptone. Exterior dressings applied and wax buffed off and the finished results..

Excellent work Nathan. If I brought my car to you, would you have the facilities to restore my car back to its former glory? It is due out of an Audi bodyshop week after next and I suspect the finish will not be great.

As long as they spray it the correct colour then yes i can fix any over spray, wet sanding marks, poor machine polishing that they usually provide free of charge with each repair :)

Drop me an email through my website for a booking.

All stunning ... apart from the shiny tyre walls :flush:

Each to their own I guess +++

I rarely get complaints about the tyres and if i do they rub down nicely with an old MF cloth to a matt finish. Personally i like the shiny finish.. but it goes after a couple of days anyway and the matt finish lasts for a week or so depending on the driving conditions.

then there was this lovely Porsche 996 turbo cab which has been protected by Ventureshield film fitted by AMI. I polished the panels that were not covered in film and then waxed the whole car.

This 997 GT3 RS had the same treatment

thanks for looking. normal service with full write ups will resume shortly (although its still a pain that you cant post more than 10 photos per post!)

Nice work Nathan, the AMV8 looks pumped and positivily dropping wet!

The darker colours look glossy and excentuate the gloss of the tire shine. On others it looks fine.

I really like the MR2, i think b/c you see alot of them about and they are often messy so that one really stood out for me!

Having had a green machine think its synthetics all the way!

Thanks for the previous comments.... another one for you to enjoy.

Had this lovely black turbo for a paint correction detail.

Started off with the usual wash process. Wheels with autoglym acid free, foamed with autoglym pm3, shampoo'd with megs hyperwash, dried and clayed.

The car is a 57 plate and the owner takes pretty good care of it which was evident by the fact that none of the swirls were too deep, just general washing and drying marks. I was slightly worried after all of Polished Bliss' horror stories of sticky porsche paint, and having had a few myself that it would be a nightmare to correct even these minor swirls. Happily though I had no such problems and everything came out with 3m yellow top fine polish mixed with a drop of 3m blue top ultrafina on a 3m polishing pad.

Once everything was polished the car was given a coat of Vintage wax. Exterior dressings applied. Interior vacuumed and glass cleaned.
