Iowa_HPDE
Hello, I am looking for a car for either racing, or HPDE events. I currently own a 2002 Corvette Z06, but am looking for a car I would not fear "wadding up". I am looking for something that will bring out my skills, and am thinking of a British roadster. I have noticed TVR's to be relatively inexpensive. What is a good model of TVR to get into (any age of car) for less than $25,000.
dogbucket
Assuming you live in the States I am surprised you can hold of one tbh. Griffiths and Chimaeras are mechanically fairly simple using a Rover V8 engine. The 5 litre versions offer good performance but more due to the power/weight than pure hp. For that money you might get an early Cerbera or Tuscan, but as these use bespoke TVR engines the servicing costs are not cheap and trying to maintain one in another country with the lack of specialist knowledge would preclude them I would think. And what is 'wadding up' ?
Trefor
If you're in the US you won't be able to import a TVR from the 90s/00s and use it on the road.
