wsurfa
Everything seemed fine on the test drives and reviewing the services history - but 10 mins after picking it up the ABS warning light came on. The fluid is full (actually looks overfilled, possibly with some spillage/leakage round it). Anything easy to check prior to having it looked at? Thanks Iain
Atomic
Get someone to vagcom it. Probably a dirty sensor or dodgy sensor cable.
farmerpalmer
Hi wsurfa, i have read about this problem on other car forums, and a guy has kindly produced a troubleshooting guide on his website, hope this solves the problem. lots of other useful info on here as well. and enjoy the beast ;-) http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/susp_whls_brake_steer/abstroubleshooting.html
wsurfa
thanks guys = the light went off for most of today then came back on again. I'll ask the garage to check if the sensor's are dirty when it goes in for the gearbox oil change. Forgot how much fun having a bavarian gentleman's club on wheels was! harpersimon
That Audi pages article is awesome!- they have some great pages on there. I have the ABS kicking in at low speed fault.. and would never have thought as simple as cleaning the sensors. Thats tonights job then!
LostKiwi
Mine had the same problem. Cleaned the sensor and it went away for a week or so then came back. Did the repair to the cable and been perfect for the past 6 months.....

wsurfa
How you doing with this now fella? Any progress Well the light hasn't come on again, so not that concerned just yet. However it is badly misfiring and going in for a service tomorrow, so hasn't been driven much - hopefully new coil pack will cure that and a quick clean of the abs sensor will sort any issues with the ABS Iain
