redrob
Hi wonder if anyone can help, I own a A4 1.8 cabriolet S-Line on a 58 plate. I,ve been on the forum for a couple of weeks now and keep seeing refrences for B4 B7 etc, but being an Audi virgin having had Lexus for the last 6 years, could someone explain how the numbering and cars match up, for example do I have a B something or other? Thanks Rob
Dustoir
It's the model generation reference... The current model is a B8 The first A4 model was a B5 (I think) The B6 came in 2001 ish and was replaced 2005 by the B7 I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Enjoy the car
GTI_Boi
Dustoir is correct. The old Audi 80 was B1 through to B4 before (no pun intended) the A4 name arrived. Your A4 is a B7!
redrob
Thanks guys, so if the current model is a B8 and I have a B7 that means that it's already a 1 old, and we only bought it 5 weeks ago, I think I will continue to call it an A4:roflmao:
Melchior
Wikipedia is a pretty handy reference for your B's

You can still configure new ones on the Audi website. Once the A5 cab is launched, then yours will be old.
