Ian_G
Wow, couple of years since I posted here. The R32 is nearing the 3 year old mark now, touch wood it has been totally reliable so I'm wondering whether / what extended warranty I should go for - anybody have any suggestions cheers Ian
Cuprabob
From the little research that I've done the all components VW warranty provided through Mondial looks the most comprehensive. It's purchased through the VW dealer network I was quoted just over £600 for unlimited mileage as long as it was taken out while still within the 3 year warranty period. This also includes VW assistance. I normally replace my cars every 3 years but I lve the R32 and the climate at the moment with heavy depreciation on the R32 means I'll be keeping it longer but I want piece of mind should anything go wrong and in particular the DSG box and Haldex Edited December 12, 2008 by Cuprabob
Ian_G
Thanks, I'll check out with the dealer then. Must admit my worries are mostly about the DSG / Haldex as well. I always just run cars into the ground, swapping for whatever nice is on the forecourt on the day. This R32 may well last a long time though as I'm not doing the high mileage anymore - used to be 50K+ a year, not even done 36K in 3 years in this. geo_nr1
Try Warranty Direct. Used them for my Mk iV and had no problems with them at all.
