aj84
I do have chains as I've had to drive to Hungary a few times but it's a pain getting them on and not warranted in the UK - well unless it carries on and gets worse! Hope you're all ready for tomorrow...personally, I hope all the snow in the world falls in London :- )
cruiser647
You know what? I want the opposite !I want to be able to move UP to 2-3 when taking off from stationary. My old vauxhall and my previous new shape Volvos all had an "ice" button which prevented you going off in first gear This meant that there was less spin But I suspect you were talking about lowering the gears to slow down which is a good point! I will try this over the weekend where supposedly it is supposed to be as cold as -8 My Omega autos had that 'snow button'. Meant the car took off in 3rd gear. I had absolutely no issues with it in the snow, going up and over hills in near enough virgin snow with it! Lovely! I LOVE driving in the snow!
