One less WR1

Not that windy today. But windy enought for this to happen.

It was parked, no one hurt.

Kids car seats in the back were totally intact - Parents spend lots on car seats!!!!!

Tree was VERY rotten inside.!

Oh mate, that's a horrible sight :(

Just be thankful the kids weren't in the back at the time.

Good luck with the insurance and getting everything sorted out. +++

Sue the arse off of Welwyn & Hatfield Council. They should be monitoring those trees, as that is one of, if not THE main WGC thoroughfare!

Sorry to see that Scoob, so what's next? And will your insurnace pay out quickly or drag their feet waiting on the council?

I shall be discussing it with W+H Council in the morning. Tree was rotten as hell, and had been checked a few weeks ago.

I have samples of the wood at home....

Thanks Les and everyone else.

starting to feel a bit fecked off right now. Had some tea, collected some WR1 adverts and will start the (expected) battle with the council tomorrow.

Will see what W+H say and then leave it with the insurers.

It's already made the local paper in WGC! and there was a Sky news reporter there too. Thank feck no-one was walking or driving past when the tree came down. Could make an interesting discussion with the Council tomorrow.

I have the business card from the local rag and so will also get acopies of their photo's and may well have a chat with them if the council do not play ball!

Now, what next car wise....

Just picked up this thread, sorry to see your car in such a state Simon.

A real shame as it was clearly looked after.

I hope things start looking up for you soon with its replacement.

Just catching up with this, glad nobody is hurt, but you must be gutted about the motor, what are the chances of that happening hey.

Hope everything gets sorted and the do the honest thing. +++

 Damn bad luck - probably more chance of a lottery win than that happening. I hope you get some recompense from the council - particularly as that tree had been inspected. They can hardly blame it on the old 'act of god' chestnut.

You definitely deserve some good luck now coming your way.

OMG what a nightmare

Glad you and the family are ok mate; as other's have said I would be pressing the council to cough up under their public liability insurance.

Hope you get things sorted +++
