Maffia
Hi, After receiving this message on the central console computer of my MkIV Golf Estate and having a look round the internet it would seem that there is most likely a problem with my brake light switch, however most people seem to be reporting that the bulbs aren't lighting up and the central strip is. I have the opposite problem, the central strip isn't lighting up except about 2cm at each end. Is this a brake switch problem? And how do I get access to the brake switch to replace it? Any pictures or guides would be fantastic. Many thanks in advance.
shark_90
It doesn't sound like a brake light switch problem to me. It could be many things unfortunately, and you need the car scanned for fault codes ideally. Welcome to TSN
Maffia
Thanks for your reply, the problem seems intermittent as while driving to work the fault disappeared for most of the journey, however it has come back as I parked. garcon magnifique
So it doesn't mean the car has to be taken back to Worksop then?
