How long does a full tank of Diesel last

Welcome!

Mine is the 3 litre diesel but I'm pretty sure the tank size is the same. With diesel around the £1.20 mark it costs just under £70 to fill. I will get between 400-450 miles from a tank.

You will do better than that in a 2.7 without quattro though

Depends on your mix of driving...

I average around 450 miles to a tank, and that's with a fair amount of city driving and the occasional motorway run. DIS says my current average is 33mpg.... on a motorway run I usual average mid to high 40's, around town is around the high 20's.

But without fail everytime I fill up DIS says range of usually 510-520 miles.

Oh and as boosters says when on reserve costs just short of £70 to fill

As ever, depends on your driving.

If it's mostly city driving then 400-450 is your likely range.

Longer journeys 500+ miles will be easily achieveable ... if you want to!

Typ range of mpgs will be low to mid 30's if lots of slow commuting

40-42 on longer drives.

Very smooooth powertrain is the 2.7TDi Multitronic

Enjoy

I don't know how much this reply will help you given I drive an A6 but I do log various stats at every fillup (Yes I'm the guy who just won't move off straight away after getting back in the car ;) )

Without going into it too much:

Tank: 80 litres (I think the A5 is 65?)

Cost: £105 for V-power Diesel.

Mileage until empty (Computer) 600

Actual: 470

Type of driving: 6 days a week of local stop/start driving in London with 2 stretches of 1 mile high speed

Lasts me 10 days

I am heavy footed however
