TomoPassat130
Hello, I've been thinking about getting my 03 Passat 130 TDI PD re-mapped. I am just wondering if I will need to change the clutch to be able to cope with the extra power or can I keep the standard clutch. If I do have to change will I need a new clutch and flywheel? or just the clutch itself. If anyone could help with this? Thanks
shark_90
It depends really on the condition of your current clutch, but a good quality remap should be sympathetic on the drivetrain. If you'd like any more info on remaps feel free to ask
TomoPassat130
Ok thanks, the clutch seems fine but I have no idea when it was last changed so that could be a problem :D. Suppose if I get it done and it goes it goes. Life can be cruel. The car is bog standard and with a re-map I have heard I will have to change a whole load of stuff to reap the benifits, such as a new fuel induction system, new exhaust system, air flow, road cam etc etc will I need to do all these? Or will I see a difference without it all. The re-map will make the car 163hp and around 390nm from the standard 130hp and 310nm. I've asked a few people and they say I wont see much of a difference without all these other modifications.
