Epic colours... +++

just looking at the rest of the site - about 9 years ago I looked seriously at getting a 993 for about £25K+... Looking at this site ... they are still the same price... !!!

I ended up getting an A8 and lost a fortune on it :( (Nice car though).

The market does seem to be healthy at the moment. The very best and rarest 993s are worth as much today as they were new 15 or so years ago. If you bought a Turbo S back then for £135k most people would have said you were mad but they only made 30 or so in RHD and there's one for sale at the moment for £115k. A good 993 RS is worth at least what it cost new. Many Porsches seem to return to their original invoice value over 20-30 years.

The tricky thing is to find something which is good value now but which will be sought after in the future. Something that is at the bottom of it's price curve or just starting to rise. As ever with Porsche condition, rarity, desirability and originality will all have a significant affect on price.

Agree on the value of 997's. Brother in law has bought a 2005 997 Carrera S (with 5000 miles on the clock) and £15k of options for a song. They will depreciate but they're brilliant cars - massive bang for the buck. Very modern compared to a 993!
