NewNiceMrMe
Many, many years ago I was hooked on the game Mech Warrior and still think it is one of the best ever made. Anyway, the "Mechs" in that always fascinated me and that agricultural machine is about as close (albeit on more legs) to a small Mech as I have ever seen. stooH
Very very cool piece of kit, wonder how much they cost? Would be fun walking down the high street in one of those.
NewNiceMrMe
I've done a bit of digging around and found out quite a bit about this. It is called the Timberjack Walker and is/was made by PlusTech Oy - a subsidiary of John Deere (the tractor people). However, you can't buy one. The reason is quite simple. The US military have bought the design and commissioned PlusTech to adapt it for use in 'challenging terrain'. Best of all though, it isn't called a Timberjack now. Look at my earlier post. Quite incredibly, it is now called... Mecha.
Mook
Only in the US. Not that they could confuse Mecha and Mecca
Fresh
That thing is mad. I'd happily have that as my daily.

stooH
You're right it would look really pretty wandering around the country side, as the government have got so much spare cash lying around they should get right onto it...
