I have had the same thing occur. Does not seem to affect the cars performence, but is somewhat

embarrassing so to say. One of the reasons I signed on to this forum was hoping to find an answer.

I do hope someone can shed some light on this.

My 911 and R32 both do this if I have only started them briefly then parked them - like swapping one in and out of the garage.

I found that if I let them go through the full warm up cycle for the engine, I don't get the smoke and rich, unburnt fuel smell.

Are you only noticing this when you start them after they have been started and stopped when cold?

This appears to be a problem from short trips or not really getting down on the engine.

I took the pepper wagon on a 3 hour trip this weekend and did not notice any smoke at

startup all weekend. I think the fact that Ii was able to drive a long distance at 80 to 90

mph on the interstate helped clean out some of the short trip congestion in the engine.
