patently
Can anyone explain these to me? So far as I can see, they range from 1 to 11, with 1 being the strictest and 11 the least strict. Somehow, I'm meant to work out what number suits my 11-year-old lad without any guidance from Sony.... It's on the default level 9 at the moment, and he's annoyed that CoD5 won't let him online at that level. Hence my sudden interest in the topic. Any information or advice on the subject would be appreciated....

fizzbitt
Never used it myself but had a quick look online for you and found this article which might have some useful info although from the threads that were brought up by google it seems that the Sony rating is an internal setup with no relevance to the real world. m4ttm4son
I noticed yesterday that if you highlight the game you're going to play, hit triangle and then information, if tells you the parental level on the game. Fo example, the one I noticed it on was GranTurismo online time trial - Level 2. Don't know if that's any help to you. I imagine COD will have a high rating due to the terrorist stuff and the killing etc.
