Good freebie....because they're not worth spending money on in my experience.

I bought one for the US many years ago and it wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. I get the feeling they have a certain type of target audience - and I wasn't it.

I wasn't at the time though. I dunno, they just seemed a bit weird and contained all manner of irrelevance - not to mention that a good bit of what the book said was completely wrong!

Probably much better now.

I'm not sure I'd buy electronic versions but the printed Italian lakes LP we have wasn't bad... I think Frommer's are the best guide books though +++
