Christ, sorry to hear that bud! I presume the BMW and not the mini?

As has been said, maybe a blessing you only found out in the morning.

And maybe time for a security upgrade.

Chin up

What a nasty thing to happen, cars can be replaced- people can't. So it is a positive thing that you and yours weren't woken and avoided what would have been a potentially violent conflict.

Have you any idea how they got in ?

I'm not a 'what if' sort of person but I've often worried about someone wanting to do the same for my R32.

Glad to hear nobody was hurt.

Sorry to hear that mate.

Much happier to read that you are fine.

The feeling of vulnerability though will be harder to shake I would wager (they came INTO my house and I didn't even know type thing).

Sorry to hear this mate but glad you are all ok and they did not need to bother you in anyway. As said though chin up cars can be replaced.

Really crap news but a good thing your keys were downstairs and accessible without you being disturbed. Hope you're not too badly shook up.

Until a few months ago I would religiously take car keys upstairs each night then, after reading a thread like this, I decided that if someone manages to get into your house for car keys or similar then they can bloody well have them.

Terribly sorry to hear this Dave, total scumbags.

That said, you and yours are safe and well and that's what is most important. I was going to say let's just hope it is found quickly but then again I don't know if you'd want to back etc.

Just glad you're safe and well.

Would rather not get it back as you don't know what has happened to it.

Bad news mate, it was surreal just reading this. Makes me nervous about owning a fancy car. Glad, as everyone else said, it was only the car they took and everyone is ok.

I don't think it needs to be fancy for thieving scum nowadays Andrew. There's a fella in Tynemouth who had his arm broken trying to resist 2 guys who broke in during the night to take his Vauxhaul Zafira a few years back. It was simply a case that his house was out of sight and they could break in reasonably unseen and if anyone kicked off there weren't any other houses for a few hundred yards - so the location was their target more than the type of car.

This happens entirely to often, I can really empathise with you after having my S8 stolen. I hope the insurance pays up quickly and it doesn't put you of having another nice car. Have you thought of beefing up security now?

Ycam SD. About £180 from Amazon. Really small camera that records to an internal SD card or to a home pc. Records on movement.

Thankfully ours has only picked up the postman and foxes but it is very good.

Only bought it as someone on here mentioned it and it does the job very well.

Sorry to hear that Dave, as others have said at least you knew nothing about it rather than have a violent situation. Hopefully the new year will bring better luck +++
