DHA
£25,000 fine. I hope they fine Arsenal as well for our 8 changes away to Wigan. Seriously
NewNiceMrMe
I think they should deduct at least 6 points from you. Seriously though, I don't care. I don't see why you should be fined or anyone else. Teams should be able to select who the hell they want in my view.
DHA
Yeah I agree (not the 6 points bit!) if they limit the squad to 25 players you can pick who you want from that 25, otherwise why have 25 players unless they only did it to limit Citeh buying every player in the world. But if they fine Blackpool they should fine us.

DHA
I think so. If he does, Blackpool will go down
garcon magnifique
What's the point of continuing if the FA don't let you pick your own f*cking team? (Unless you're "a big club" of course...) P.S. To me this is a much bigger story than that f*cking fantasy league bullsh*t the Grauniad have just 'exclusively revealed'. NewNiceMrMe
I can't see Holloway doing what he said he'd do, but the FA need to get their act together and understand that long term survival is a lot more important than a single game. I sometimes wonder if they do these things just to demonstrate how powerful they are.
Waylander
This is loony-bonkers. This has been going on for time-immemorial esp amongt the top teams prior to cup matches etc (or even within cup matches). It is completely non-uniform as well. Man U put out a 2nd XI against Hull(?) which would have had a bearing on the relegation scrap; okay they win but nada; Arsenal as above. Wolves got a suspended fine. Ironically the Blackpool team almost got a very deserved draw - what would the FA have said then? Still, Holloway being a man of principle I would of course expect him to walk as he said he would. He can sell a few players on the way out to gild his handshake...
NewNiceMrMe
He's already said he isn't going to resign. He also said "We all really know what FA stands for, and that's what I think of them."
garcon magnifique
BBC Sport - Football - Ian Holloway 'to offer resignation' from Blackpool Of course the chances of Oyston accepting it are pretty slim I'd say, but it's the principle that counts. NewNiceMrMe
In all seriousness, he knows it isn't going to be accepted. Come on, we all know that.
Waylander
Of course. That is why I was surprised someone as witty as him didn't do this straight away.
malagus
As long as you are picking from your squad of 25, who is to say if a team is weak or not? United can field a comparatively weak team and still have a load of international players in there, and they can also use their large academy to take advantage of the under-21 loophole and play a load of youngsters, but who's to say these young players are not deserving of the game? teams should be allowed to pick whoever they like, within the framework, otherwise what's the point of picking a 25-man squad? Daz
Here's hoping that United field a weak team today
NewNiceMrMe
There'll be changes, no doubt about it. I don't expect it to be a weak team though. I won't be surprised to see Berbatov and Hernandez start.

NewNiceMrMe
I'll be interested to see who he starts in goal. He may well give Lindergaard his first outing (and if he does he might as well buy Kuszczak his plane ticket).
malagus
In fairness if maarten steklenberg (sp?) is our target for the summer, then I can't see Kuszczak staying. He's only held out as long as he has because he thought hes replace VDS. if he isn't, he's going to go, surely? (plus if the dutchman comes, with lindegaard and amos at the club next season, little reason for Kuszczak to be at the club.)
malagus
Lindegaard to start, michael owen up front.
