Boxing Haye V Klitschko and box office.

Just watched the Hopkins fight.. what a performance considering he was more aggressive and had a higher work rate than Pascal.

As much as he is a dirty boxer you have to give him credit for what he has done. To be honest i thought he was robbed of the Valuev fight so this is deserved.

I think you're confusing Hopkins with Evander Holyfield, because Bernard has never fought Valuev.

One week to go, but if anything the hype around the Haye fight seems to be less and less with every passing day.

I will be buying it and I hope it will be a classic. The thing is Haye is starting to really annoy me. I mean REALLY annoy me. I know boxers have short careers and have to make the money when they can but he is taking the mick. I follow 2 people on Twitter and stopped following him because every other Tweet is buy this App or T-shirt. The last interview I saw with him on Sky Sports News, instead of the whitty banter we have come to expect from him, he was more interested in holding up posters for his boxing App. It was so annoying seeing him as nothing more than a cheap salesman and was bordering on embarrassing

He retires in 4 months and he's banking it whilst he can. I agree it's got a bit OTT of late though, and he doesn't need to do it.

Have you seem him training though? He was on TV the other day and I have never seen him bigger, faster or more ripped. He looked like a machine.

Was out with a load of Germans on Tuesday night and brought the fight up. They all, bar none, were utterly dismissive of Haye and thought a Klitschko win a fait accompli.

Speaking to a UK boxing fan today on he phone he thinks that is a load of old rubbish and a Haye win is a dead cert.

I've not been this interesting in a boxing match in years!

McGuigan is convinced. He makes a very, very, strong argument.

I think he's right. Klitschko is going down. I am now convinced that Haye may well throw the first few rounds. He could throw a total red herring - then batter him. That's certainly something that Emanuel Steward is worried about.

Klitschko's own trainer - he admitted yesterday that Haye is the first motivated winner that Wladimir has fought in years.

I saw the pictures of Haye yesterday and he looks bigger, faster and more determined than ever. His winding up of the Brothers has reached new heights too. I was shocked, disgusted, but at the same time entertained, to hear what he said to Vitali.

"When he's in the ambulance, going to hospital, don't be jumping in with him to hold his hand. Stay here with me and lets get the next fight sorted."

What a tw*t.:roflmao:

Funniest thing I've seen was a clip of someone interviewing both fighters, and Klitschko replying in several languages, then they asked Haye what languages he spoke, and he said (to Klitschko), the only language I speak, is punching you in the face (or something to that effect).

Haye has had Vitali fuming tonight.

He told him not to stand too close to the ring, perhaps best to stand about 10-12 feet back...so he could catch his brother when he knocked him out of the ring.:roflmao:

That's brilliant

I'm really looking forward to this. David Haye deserves more than 50% of the takings for the amount of work he's put in to drumming up interest in this fight.

I think a lot of viewers will be very disappointed in what they see of Haye in the early rounds - in fact I think there'll be people screaming at the TV.

But...I'm more convinced than ever now that it's the way he's going to do it.

So do I and as you say Stewart's comments reinforced that for me - unusual from the trainer of the opposition!

Pity Haye is such a c0ck though that I would like to see him flattened!

Unlike Mayweather though, everyone knows it is all an act. Even the Klitschko's know it and have said it. They acknowledge he'll be as nice as pie after the fight whatever the result is.

Haye has just said:

"I love this, I love it. I love build up, the hype, the taunting. It's good. It has got to him too, because this time he is actually up for a fight - because he knows he's going to get one. He's going to come in there and try to knock my head off. Good luck to him, I'm looking forward to it. He's going to get a big shock when he realises I ain't no fat boy though. It's been a brilliant week though. Just watching them getting closer to a fit every minute I speak has been excellent."

yeah true - Mayweather is a c0ck of porn star proportions. I still cringe whenever I hear Haye open his gob though!

Mayweather recently pulled a typical stunt on Facebook.

He regularly takes mobile phone pictures of betting slips. He's a huge gambler. It is very common, at least once a week, for him to post a picture of slips showing a $50,000, $100,000 or even higher bet. Then he'll show you himself sat surrounded by wads of cash (most of which the IRS is still pursuing him for in a massive case of tax evasion from his boxing earnings).

Well he went one better recently. He was getting posts slagging him off so he went out and took a picture of a betting slip for $50,000 that was clearly a total waste of money. It was on something that would never win, and sure enough it didn't. With it he said "I can do this. You losers can't.". He is so distasteful it is staggering. He does do quite a bit of charity work but it was pointed out to him that there were numerous charities deserving of a 'wasted' $50,000. It was just another Mayweather publicity stunt to test the height of bad taste, because he pushes it further each time.

I cannot stand the man but it just so happens he is probably the most skilled boxer of the last 30 years, maybe more.

I have no idea how much of a c0ck Mayweather is as I don't follow boxing, but I do think that's funny.

I agree that there's lots of deserving charities, but then lots of sandal wearers would say that about most of the things us TsNers normally buy on a regular basis.

What's the score with this on Sky pay per view?

Got my brothers and my dad all coming over to watch it, few beers etc, will the price go up just before the fight? should I order it now just in case?

Edit: not to worry, just checked, and yes indeed, it goes up from £15 to £20 tomorrow at some point, so I've just ordered it now.

Thought that was only for phone orders. If you use the remote control the price should be the same.

Right then, forget about what you would like to see and detailed explanations on what you think might happen. Let's keep things simple and copy and paste the following to give your prediction so we have everones in one place. No rounds needed, just points to who or stoppage to who.

Billy2shots - Wlad to win by stoppage.

What time does the fight start. The programme is at 8 but just wondering when it actually kicks off. Saw the weigh in, VK did look er, MASSIVE! Made me wonder if DH is really big enough at this level. He's got to stop VK jab that's for sure. Still DH did look in fantastic shape and he will be very fast. Can't wait for the fight.
