Just a few days since Spain, but here we go again.

Don't forget that FP1+2 are tomorrow, not Friday if you like to watch on the Red Button.

Cheers! I had forgotten! Won't get to watch it on the red button but nice to have the lap times table running in the background while i'm in the office working! ;)

He's conscious and talking, so hopefully good news. Not sure he'll be taking his position tomorrow though.

It didn't look that bad an incident, but the crucial thing is he took the impact sideways - and the neck is far more susceptible to damage from a sideways impact than a forward/backward one. Hopefully the safety gear did its job.

Back to the racing, that was an almost unbelievable lap from Vettel - nobody else was ever going to get close to that.

Interesting that no-one put in a good lap after the restart had the track changed or no-one had the gumption to push it.

Early reports* are coming in that Perez span on a patch of oil, CCTV cameras indicate that it may of been left by a Twingo with an engine warning light on...

*not really

they sat at the end of the pitlane and the tyres temp and pressure just dropped, they couldnt get them back up in one lap. A disaster for LH as his plan to do one lap and save tyres was on the same lap that Perez had his crash. It was a big gamble seeing as so much can happen at Monaco. Thought he should have got a banker in early in Q3. SV lap was special no doubt, but the Mclarens have been there or thereabouts all weekend.

Don't think that was his plan, although would have been good if it had worked out, as they said he had some sort of a problem with his car so couldn't get out till half way through Q3.

Interesting qualifying session, Schuey was on form, and if Vettel wins I can't see anyone else getting close to him for the drivers title this year.

Very very nasty crash for Perez, the speed and angle of impact were bad, and that they took an eternity to get him out does not look good. Here's hoping for a quick recovery.

Monaco is ace, can't wait to go back
