4 posts in this topic

Hello everyone

I have a problem that really does my head in.....HELP

When I for example floor the car (within the speed limit) sometimes the power just dies.....untill I turn the car off and then on again

It feels like the turbo just stops working, like I said untill I turn it off and on

Its just as it resets somethng

And I get the feeling its a sensor

HELP will be verry appreciated.....THANK YOU

You might need a new MAF (or to clean the MAF). It measures the air temp and sits just behind the air filter in the pipe to the inlet manifold.

Get some carb cleaner from Halfords and clean it EXTREMELY gently with a cotton bud after spraying it with the cleaner.

You might also want to check all the air pipes too and from the turbo and also clean the EGR with the same fluid. It can clog up.

Do a search on here for MAF & TDi EGR, you should find some pictures for it to help you.

Good luck!
