NewNiceMrMe
Not an R, but one of the originals and it was in good condition too. Shame he drove at 30 mph along 2 miles of 50 mph road.
cruiser647
Ian_C mode........ that's not a Continental. Still a class motor that can fly along if required!
NewNiceMrMe
Sorry, Bentley Turbo, not Turbo R and not Continental.
Ian_C
You are not so good on your Bentleys are you?! That's two slip ups in a week!

Andrew
My old man was selling one a few years back - I advertised it on here. I've been in quite a few and they are lovely cars. 6.75l of guzzling beauty!
garcon magnifique
I will own a Bentley one day. A proper one with that glorious 6.75 V8, not a fecking footballers' VW.
NewNiceMrMe
A Bentley Arnage Red Label. Yum.
garcon magnifique
They've got an Arnage in the prestige bit of my Subaru dealer, gorgeous Birkin limited edition in Peacock Blue. Trouble is it's the wrong fecking engine - the BMW 4.4.
NewNiceMrMe
I actually like it's big brother too - the Rolls Royce Silver Seraph. In silver they look stunning.

The Bentley Coupe, like the one Clarkson demolished the tyres on. In your face consumption! You CANNOT get better than that!
Tipex
One of my mates has an almost identical looking Turbo to that one, I'm fairly sure his is a Turbo R though.
DanG
Nothing wrong with the current 6.0 W12 twin turbo I have driven recently. The best GT car, not sports, on the market.
garcon magnifique
Nothing wrong at all, they're a superb car that may also be on my list one day in their own right, it's just that I'm an old fashioned traditionalist when it comes to what constitutes a 'proper' Bentley. NewNiceMrMe
I'd buy a GT, absolutely. They've suffered an image issue but they still look fab and the interiors are a lovely place to be. I looked at a few online and almost went to see one locally but to be perfectly honest the potential repair/servicing costs scared me off.
garcon magnifique
One thing that sticks in my memory about the GT was a story in EVO about the P1 Performance Club - one of those prestige hire clubs where you pay a fortune to join and then another fortune to hire something decent for the weekend. Of all the performance cars in their fleet, the Continental GT was by far the cheapest to run - they never broke and servicing was relatively sensible. Of course they were new/nearly new cars. I can imagine there are some scary bills in store when they get towards 100k miles...
