NewNiceMrMe
At breakfast in our hotel in Glasgow this morning. Looking very old and very unhappy. Quite a sorry sight in fact.
Mook
He had a big problem with alcohol IIRC, which always ages people. He's in his late 50s I think. He wouldn't get away with any of that "Chalky" stuff now
NewNiceMrMe
Looks at least 65. Very grey and looked like he'd been dragged through a hedge backwards.

garcon magnifique
Only line of his I ever found funny was, "I'm not getting married again, I'm just going to find a woman I don't like and give her a house." And he nicked that line from someone else. Frankly I hope he dies a lonely and bitter death.
Woppum
What's the problem? He was always sad, racist and bitter. In today's world he would never fit in.
Scotty
He's had a strange career. He was huge as a stand up and had a reputation for being blue .... and then he decided to change and went for the famil entertainer including the Generation Game. He did a couple of other things and it seemed to was flying on mainstream TV .... and then it all fell flat. A troubled life and a troubled career. Tipex
The problem with his stand up career, was that while it may have been funny to people of a certain age, where bigotry was acceptable and common place, it was getting tired and dated, and less and less acceptable in a modern world. Then, when he realised that (too late), he turned his stand up comedy shows into a political advert, which destroyed any remaining fans he may have had, people were walking out of theatres mid show. stooH
Saw him live once at Lakeside at a Christmas do about 10 years ago, not remotely funny and got booed. Also saw him in a bar in Southemltin about 18 months ago looking much like mrme describes him.

garcon magnifique
More a sign of the absolute and utter (as opposed to just utter) contempt in which I hold the other bloke.
NewNiceMrMe
I thought as much. But hey, if I'm on to utter instead of absolute and utter, then I consider that quite a result.
