The Caterham Build

Off-side front suspension is done, see piccy.

So far, I'm impressed with Caterham. They owned up to not having given me a diff (supply issues...) and I think I'm short one of the exhaust guards, but overall the structure of the kit is very good. Each build area has a box and/or a bag, and a "fixings pack". The fixings packs contain all the nuts, bolts, washers etc that you need for that bit plus a card with a picture & description. It means you can put the card on the floor, ID all the bolts and lay them out, then pick out bolt (5) when the manual says to.

Amazingly, only one bolt has been an utter bitch so far. Although I will have to do another like it on the other side. Talking of which, see you all later.... +++

So, are we going to open a book on how many "spare" bits there are left afterwards?

Seriously - sounds like the best lego set ever. Clear instructions and all the bits present, unlike IKEA, for example. The further this thread goes along the more I'm going to lust after doing the same.

Is there any market in building these for other people? I doubt it :(
