NewNiceMrMe
Hi Folks,Due to collect my Boxster 3.4 S this week, and it's going to be a long time coming. Nice to join you all! The trader has still got it up for sale on their site. Why is the car 'a long time coming'? First post too, interesting. redbeard
Picking the car up around Wednesday I hope. I simply meant that I can't wait. Sorry if you found this misleading.

redbeard
Thanks very much bazza. I was stuck between the Boxster and the Z4 M Roadster for a while, but I think I made the right call.

NewNiceMrMe
Ah yes, that initial buzz. Good isn't it. Now the rain will come. Glad to hear you've picked it up safely (presumably!).
redbeard
Absolutely love it to bits. Does anyone else find that everyone on the road seems to want to tailgate them though? I didn't want to prang my new baby by taking the bait.
patently
That loving feeling... it just gets bigger and bigger You may just be feeling as if you're being tailgated when you're not (or not as badly as you think). You're lower than many cars, which can make them look closer and make their headlights seem more glaring. Sometimes a little recalibration of your senses is needed
redbeard
The way my left ear and eyesight are going there's already an ongoing recalibration process!
DanG
Enjoy! The 987 is still one of the best handling cars I have owned, I love mine. And get your roof down!!
DanG
Also, it's worth joining the Porsche Club of Great Britain for a couple of reasons. Depending on your insurer, you will get about £50 off your insurance (per car), you get a glossy Porsche Mag every month AND you get a PCGB sticker to put in your car They also do events and meets and tech evenings, oh, and you get 10% off all parts from an OPC, I recently had to get a new key head as mine broke and it does help with the cost.... eldavo69
10% of Porsche design stuff. 15% off parts. Servicing deals, etc.
DanG
I only got 10% off parts last week.... Will have to check that was right.
eldavo69
Was at the PCGB meet on Weds and the service manager confirmed 15%. Maybe they feel sorry for us poor northerners.
NewNiceMrMe
I hope so. Maybe we'll get free 911's if we keep pleading poverty.
eldavo69
I got a free limited edition double sided copy of Christophorous
rottenbend
10% of Porsche design stuff. 15% off parts. Servicing deals, etc. As I seem to be replacing every nut and bolt on my car (out of choice not necessity ) the parts discount comes in very handy! You can also get a nice Certificate of Authentication signed by the MD of Porsche and you get a free insurance valuation for your car. Probably of more value on older cars but good to know nevertheless.
eldavo69
I've got both, and the insurance valuation was over double what I paid so happy days!
