Audi's Quattro GmbH sports car division has its work cut out lately. Apart from the RS5 Convertible, the RS4 Avant and rumoured RS7, the company's engineers are also developing the RS1.

That would look really nice in red apart from the shopping trolley handle at the back

After having driven one at the launch event in Germany and the great reviews I think they could be on to something, so many RS cars are very heavy but an A1 with say a 1.6 Turbo putting out 200+bhp would be fun +++

Looks quite funky - have they stolen the alloys from a standard A3? Totally agree about the surfboard on the back - a bit OTT. Read some speculation that 2.0 TFSI would be put in there.

I can't see that making production, looks like something they've added just to make the car stand out so the 'new car spies' spot what would otherwise look like any A1.

And anyway, that's not how you go ott, Ford are the winners of that with the original whale tail!

Wheels look like a smaller version of A7 S-Line

Even if that does make production it's not going to be out for years. Think how long it took to bring out the RS3 for the A3!
