billy2shots
"Another officer in a high powered Audi was out at the same time - in a different area." "The Audi driver then immediately went to the scene to help" Yeah right you are, not racing then.
Tipex
Haldex vs Quattro, Quattro wins! And yeah, they were definitely racing, I certainly would have been in their position!
chasdrury
Haldex vs Quattro, Quattro wins! Unless it was an S3......
garcon magnifique
How dare you suggest that any members of Her Majesty's finest would be "racing" on a public road. I think you'll find the appropriate term is "pursuit training". (By the way, the Audi was probably an A3 3.2)
Tipex
They use a black A3 round our way, not an S3 but I suspect it's the 3.2 and they also have a mk5 Golf R32 that sounds nice at full chat. They also have a couple of unmarked A4's that are probably 2.0 tfsi's.
Cuprabob
I remember seeing a story at the end of last year about Manchester Police crashing a Golf R so it looks like they are just reprinting old news
ashleywater
You have to admit he did a pretty good job on it though? The number of times I see TP breaking 130 plus down the dual carriageway on the M4, is in my opinion ludicrous and unjustified, it appears that even a minor shunt justifies every car in a 50 mile radius attending the scene, only a few sundays ago I saw yet another example, a minor rear ender on the motorway slip road, both cars on the hard shoulder, two fire appliances and six police cars on a Sunday afternoon, with a further one passing me flat out to attend the scene, I just dont understand what justifies this allocation of scarce resources, to such a trivial RTC? Am I missing something here? Do they need this number of personnel and resources at a scene, regardless of the extent of the accident, for HSE reasons? Or is this just a case of "Who can get to the scene first?" I think instances where they wrap off cars ,in these circumstances (Not in an operational role) would maybe illustrate the latter, in some cases, I think where Sundays are concerend "Double Time" complete with days in Lieu, are the order of the day My younger Brother is a rozzer JFTR
