Driver Information System issue

Hi

I was driving my AUDI A4 2008 today and my Driver Information System Display turned off. It stayed like this for the rest of the journey, and half way through the journey home. I am new to this car so don't know if I did something to make this happen, have been playing with the steering wheel controls and general button pushing. Does anyone know if it is possible to turn the display on and off? Has anyone had an issue with their display.

My DIS is a colour version and is linked to an RNS-E.

Did you push the button underneath the right hand stalk?

Ha ha, yeah might have done, thought that just resets and changes info, didn't realise it turns it on and off.

Just seen your link, do you supply cradles for the dash phone prep in AUDI A4 B7? I am connected by bluetooth to my iPhone 4s, but would be handy to have a charge station and make use of the arm that sticks out the dash.

You can get one from the dealers, the same place as I would go for one really.

The switch for the DIS can turn it off, well it does on mine.

So, it seems that i wasnt going mad and switching buttons on and off. I got in the car today and the DIS was off, I was unable to turn it on. It seems as though its either burned out, or disconnected. Have you ever heard of this before?
