What else would you call it? I don't have my own desk at work. Anyways, it's cos of that that I keep my music on constantly. Stops me getting distracted from whatever I'm working on, and also generally stops people interrupting you for 'a chat'. Andrew Posted December 24, 2015 Author Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 I'ver got some 535s now too as a result of the 425s suffering water damage - thought it was Xmas so why not upgrade given the insurance payout for accidental damage. They are very loud, much more than the 425s. Not sure I notice a massive difference yet. If my son chucks these in the bath there is no chance of upgrading to the 846s! Mac Posted December 27, 2015 Report Share Posted December 27, 2015 My listening set has changed a bit now, so a brief update My 'in office in ears' are now these. Old units wore out eventually, but after a lot of use. Great sound quality on these, comfortable enough to wear for hours on end too. Thoroughly recommended for the price. Out and about over-ears I've switched to the Sennheiser Urbanite XL wireless as I like the over-ears and I particularly like wireless as it means I don't have to get my phone out of my pocket - Apple Watch/Siri controls everything, and it's brilliant. My Sennheiser Momentums still get use on planes and stuff due to them being cabled, brilliant sound exclusion, and being more comfortable over a longer period. I seem to have fully embraced Sennheiser after lots of experimentation with Bose (shit), Harmon Kardon (variable), and a few other more specialist brands. I like the sounds from the Senns, and their after care service has proven excellent. Had to send them my Urbanites after they developed an irritating issue with the ear covers - and they sent me a brand new set 3 days later. Can't really argue with that. Had home hifi cabled ones that lasted years and have a couple of sets of in ear ones. Currently looking for home tv/music ones I.e. Over/on ear and wireless. Tipex Posted December 28, 2015 Report Share Posted December 28, 2015 I struggle a bit with the Sennheiser brand, mainly because we used to sell them in my Aunties £1 shop when I was a teenager and they were sh1te, that's more my hang up than a reflection on them today, though. Have to say I've never tried any Bose headphones, but I'm surprised to hear they were no good, I like their other products generally, the sound bars are unnecessarily complicated though, having the separate amp bit makes them a pain in the arse to use, but they do sound good (imo).
