You could try Shark Performance, although I am not sure if they provide it for Japanese vehicles.

I do like Shark,My Mate had his skoda remapped by shark and I travelled with him to get it done ,it was a Brilliant map period!!!!

Just checked their website ,I noticed that these days their prices are much higher ,they want 399 to map my honda !!!

So you've seen the sort of work and quality that goes into it?

As always, you get what you pay for, and you'll have no problems with it. It won't be over-stressed or overfuelled neither. You can take it back and have it removed or reloaded for 'servicing' etc.

Not sure how many places offer that sort of service.

The prices aren't any higher, that's what a 2.2 diesel has always cost :)

Not being funny, but it's a diesel soft-roader thing.

What's the point?

Same reason anyone wants one, would you question the need if it was an Audi or BMW soft roader?

Yes.

If you want to go fast, why buy a roly-poly estate on stilts?

Mind you, if you bought from VAG etc, you could get something with proper power from the factory anyway ;)

What, like an Audi A4 Allroad, A6 Allroad or Q5 3.0 TDI? :P
