NewNiceMrMe
I think I prefer white to that blue. Just plain white. No sticking Martini guff on it or another billion things. You can have the Turbo sticker. That's it. Be told.
eldavo69
An update from the Bodyshop, vents have been fully opened up and profiled and the bonnet is being prepared for paint:
E-bmw
I have seen some very similar on a fan vent in my Gran's kitchen window...... Vent Axia I think it was.

garcon magnifique
I think you should paint it the same colour as that yellow thing behind it. Which I'm going to take a wild guess at being a Mk1 Capri.
eldavo69
It is a Capri, or was/will be again
Tipex
Nope. Looks gash, ruins the original swage lines, doesn't flow with edges of the bonnet either, a few well placed stamped louvres would have looked better imo. Sorry. eldavo69
What you can't see in the pics is that it is stepped in line with the bonnet swage lines so they flow through the vents. They're also plonked on top rather than bonded on yet - plus, you find me somewhere that does stamped louvres of a decent size! Happy Birthday you old grumblefart Sorrynotsorry

Tipex
See, should have gone with louvres! I'd be surprised if any metal fabrication co couldn't do it? I'm glad you've addressed a couple of my issues, I'll wait final judgement until I see them painted and in place, I thinks that's fair. Ultimately, it doesn't matter a jot what I think, so long as you're happy with them not being stamped in louvres. ;-) Edited February 24, 2016 by Tipex

CarMad
If the louvres were flush then it would look better, I can see what you are adding them if you can make them look a little more integrated and less add on then it would get my vote. Tipex
I remember following their builds until the lucky winner was announced Who wouldn't have wanted one of these in the early 90s? Christ, I remember all of those, would have had any/all of them back then. Couldn't have lived with the 3 spoke alloys though, even then I didn't like them.
