fizzbitt
Never had an issue on the northern loop itself... it was just the F1 section has different smoother surface (obviously) and it has no grip in the wet unless my tyres were ****... Tipex
The northloop is famously lethal in the wet, all the spilt oil from motorbikes falling over or brits in knackered old cars comes to the surface. Shark managed to spin my Impreza at about 10mph in the wet!
fizzbitt
my very first lap on the ring it was raining heavy on one side of the track... i crapped myself a lot on the way round!
theduisbergkid
We probably won't have it to ourselves, but when I've been previously, there were only 3 other cars on it. Seems like everyone wants to do the NS. I have some fairly recent video but am not allowed to share it (yet) :D
stooH
If anyone is co-driverless then shout, whilst there isn't a cat's chance in hell of me convincing the misses to let me sell one rotten heap of landrover and buy an older rotten heap of car I might just possibly be able to wangle a few days away but there's no point even risking my balls unless there's an option there... (would obviously split petrol, travel costs etc)
theduisbergkid
There's always spare seats, either folks driving on their own, or folks with 4 seaters and space. Not all of them are rapists either.

Twinspark
If I do this, I'll probably be on my own, so if you don't mind sharing a shonky old Alfa, you may be in luck.

The Alfa will do you proud, mine attained legendary status, and 7 years on Duisberg still owes me a beer after losing the bet over whether it would break down or not! Mine had a proper engine in it though!

Oh, RX-7 ? :notworthy: Lol, I love the early RX7's, the gen 1 is a beautiful shape, and I have a soft spot for the Turbo 2 as well.

theduisbergkid
Not confirmed yet, but as we're being hassled by all and sundry about the dates, 7-9th August is our aim but DO NOT DO ANYTHING YET as we're waiting for info/confirmation from the Fatherland. We'll confirm later. Some fabulous stuff lined up, I can't wait

bmwsean
unfortunatly its not mine so theres no crazy engine conversion going off but it does look cool as f**k on a custom coil over suspension setup
Tipex
LS V8 engine conversions are quite popular in the RX7 fraternity, certainly quite a few FD3's have them, not sure they'd fit in anything earlier? I'd really quite like a V8 FD3, my only issue is they always look a bit, tatty, even the nice ones?
bmwsean
surprisingly the gen1 engine bay is massive and would easily allow an LS, been done a few times, FD3's are nice, too new for me tho haha
