Dorsalbasket
Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me out here cuz i'm now scratching my head. I have a mk3 VW golf 1.6 gl, which recently cut out on me while driving down the road. I have a spark, the compression is good on number 1 and 4 cylinder, and fuel is present in the bores (probably too much as the number one plug is soaked). If i hold the throttle open and crank the engine it will backfire through the inlet manifold when the ignition is dropped. Was hoping someone might be able to shed a lil light on my problem before i call the scrap truck to come and take it away. thanks in advance.
