Arch
As posted in another thread recently, I had a 2.0 EFi MG Maestro. Good mans speakers on the parcel shelf. I even bought a Janspeed exhaust for it. It was ace even though I was 19 or 20 and all my family greeted me with "Alright Grandad?" Only cost me £90 to insure as well.......per month.... Had awesome fun when I fitted a CB radio and mounted a speaker in the front grill. My best mate and I drove around town 'chatting' to people. garcon magnifique
That was the one built in India and rebadged as a Rover with added black plastic tat stuck on it wasn't it? With added black plastic Tat(a), a coupe of Rover badges and an extra 3 or 4 grand. If I remember rightly, cheapest Sh!ttyRover was £6995. In India, the Tata Indica it was based on retailed at £1995. stooH
With markups like that why did Rover go out of business??
eldavo69
Because you can have all the markup in the world but if only a handful of myopic coffin dodgers buy your product you're still fooked!
Tipex
Had awesome fun when I fitted a CB radio and mounted a speaker in the front grill. My best mate and I drove around town 'chatting' to people. My grandad had a Talbot Sunbeam with a full on PA system strapped to the roof rack, massive horn speaker the lot, he used it when he was canvassing for votes (he was a local councillor), and to 'encourage' people to go and actually vote. Although whenever we were out in the car with him he used it to chat up women and take the piss out of people!
