Waylander
Hoping/trying to! As demonstrated above they are blooming difficult to find despite being common as muck on the road nowadays it seems! Wife to me to get knotted (words to that effect) when I mentioned looking at any others. 520D SE I think is the one for me -admittedly I would prefer an SE ride with an MSport chasis
eldavo69
It is possible to order an M-sport and delete the m-sport suspension. IIRC JimDiesel did this with his 335 Coupe.
Waylander
I am sure it is when buying new but as I am looking in the nearly new/used category..... Otherwise I would be buying the Jag!
Tipex
Aren't Mazdas of that era rot prone, though? Only the Mx5, everything else is ok, I still find Mazda's lack of protection on the mx5 quite shocking.
Twinspark
Sure about that? Mid 2000s Mazda 6s are bubbling around the arches these days. Just googled - lots of posts about it around the 'net - and it seems even the later shape cars are suffering, too.
Ian_C
It is possible to order an M-sport and delete the m-sport suspension. IIRC JimDiesel did this with his 335 Coupe. Jims 335D was an SE. Might be an option now, Audi now offer this on the A3
Twinspark
You can deleted the MSport suspension from the 1 series MSport. But you're still left with silly wheels and too thin tyres.
jimdiesel
Jims 335D was an SE. Might be an option now, Audi now offer this on the A3 Correct but E92 335i/ds had the M Sport suspension. As did mine. It's wheel size not M Sport suspension that makes the biggest difference to ride comfort. Some people actually prefer the M Sport ride due to the better quality dampers. Also worth remembering on E60s, that the 19" wheel option came with non run flats as standard.
Waylander
right, quick question of the "how long is a piece of string?" type: The hunt is well and truly begun. If I were to come across an 08-plate with ~60k on the clock at ~£10k (full dealer Hx) do you think I should give it serious consideration, or look further afield for (say) 58/09 plate or lower mileage?
