cruiser647
Admittedly in white, so not the best (IMHO!!!) But the Merc CLA is a very tidy looking motor. Most impressive. They have kept the same proportions as on the CLS and it just looks right. I haven't seen the inside yet, but MB seem to be removing the gearstick in their automatic cars. Which IMO is a shame. This is something that puts me off the Jag XF, and now the new Mercs. Old fashioned? Me?
Tipex
Why would you want a gear stick in an auto? Modern auto's are not controlled mechanically so there is no need for a mechanical 'stick' these days, which frees up space on the console. The yanks have been doing column shifters on auto's for years.
Twinspark
I love the CLA. But predicted residuals are absolutely shocking... Shame, because they had just hit our car list when I placed my order. I reckon there may be some 2nd hand bargains put there in a few years, if the predictions are right. The new AMG (CLA45?) variant has a "stick" on the centre console apparently.

I just much prefer the look of a centre console with a gearstick
Tipex
Really? I much prefer the cleaner look without, the addition of an extra storage box or something more useful is welcome too. Edited October 1, 2013 by Tipex
