gilesms
I have a faulty Xenon Headlight, it switches on with a blue tint for a few seconds to a minute then flickers and goes off. Any Ideas on if it is Bulb, Ballast (Control Unit) or faulty connection. Bulb is £140 and control Unit is £400 with probably loads of labour to get to it. Any replies appreciated. Luke
(As it's an Audi, say this in a German accent) Have you tried turning xenon?
Cuprabob
Sounds like a bulb from the "blue tint" symptom. Easiest way to tell is to swap bulbs over and if the fault follows it's definitely the bulb. If it stays it's either the ignitor or the ballast. You should be able to.pick up an OEM Osram 4300k bulb for around £60 and it's best to change the pair to maintain a consistent colour both sides.
