Mook
It sounds wrong saying this, but you don't choose an Alfa for it's dash, or it's reliability - you buy one for it's looks. I still want a Brera
eldavo69
MrsEldavo had a Brera before the current BMW - it's the one car she truly misses and reminisces every time we see one. Edit - I like the look of the cabin in TS's car, bar the gearstick and surround that looks like Robocop's Robocock. - but given he tried to buy Robocop's motorbike last year maybe he's got a thing for the movie! Tipex
I've always found the interior of the 159 to be a perfectly nice place, ok so it's not going to match a BMW or Mercedes, but it's no worse quality than any other main stream manufacturer, and it's certainly (imo) more stylish. Mook
I wish they did the centre dash part in black, not silver. Or maybe they do or maybe someone goes a carbon one or something. Oooh - carbon
garcon magnifique
I remember being particularly impressed with the dash of the facelift 156. Love the dial cowlings and other nice detail. And everything in red. And tan leather...
Mook
Red leather in an Alfa. And metallic black paintwork. And the Brera that Prodrive did, where they ripped out the 4WD but left that creamy 3.2 V6
NewNiceMrMe
It's like getting the most stunning woman you've ever met back to a hotel room, having her bare in front of you and all ready to go - and then having her drop dead. The point being, necrophilia aside, it is rather pointless to have something that looks good if it is useless when it comes to it. garcon magnifique
Actually isn't it more like finding the most stunning woman you've ever met and then discovering they put the USB slot next to the exhaust, the computer gets confused and once a month it becomes completely uncooperative after some kind of inexplicable breakdown? patently
It's like getting the most stunning woman you've ever met back to a hotel room, having her bare in front of you and all ready to go - and then having her drop dead. It's still good for looking at and polishing, then gently running your hand up and down it... (The car, obviously )

Heh, it's because it's the Sillyspeed flappy paddle box, so the knob doesn't really do much.

jimdiesel
How very dare you. I loved my 166 with black momo leather and wooden wheel and knob. The nav/media system was by Siemens. And is identical to the Porsche system of the same era.

garcon magnifique
The number of buttons never mattered. Only half of them would work so you didn't need to remember what the others were for.
jimdiesel
It was a 99 3.0 lusso manual. J I used to spend hours polishing my inlet manifold. Edited March 13, 2014 by jimdiesel
garcon magnifique
I nearly bought one. But a friend pleaded with me not to. He was my local Alfa dealer sales manager at the time.

Twinspark
A bloke in our building has recently bought a grey Alfa 156 3.0 V6 GTA? 2007. GTAs are 3.2 And it's not quite as mad as you'd think - the most reliable petrol engine in a 156 is the V6. Although mid teens MPG always put me off the idea. NewNiceMrMe
3.2 is it? So what's that, 300 hp?
Twinspark
250bhp. About 40bhp down on the contemporary M3.
