remy11
I have an audi a8 and it starts ok every morning, but when I switch the engine off and after few minutes if I want to switch on again and drive it won't start unless i live it to rest for at least 3 hours. The only way to start it is by charging the battery. I have replaced the battery but it does the same thing again. Does anyone knows what could that be please? The car is 2004 reg and diesel engine Many thanks

PetrolDave
Can you hear any fans or pumps running?
cruiser647
This seems an issue with the earlier D3's. The power management module seems to go awry. Check what the power level is, that it thinks your battery is at. A few bods have upgraded the software of the MMI to get round this issue.
