Stupid Stuff from the Mail and the Express

Can we set up a thread for stupid/moronic comments in the Daily Fail and the Daily Express?  Should be a rich seam, I reckon.

I'll kick it off with this one, from the Express's regular late-October article on how this winter is going to be the worst for centuries.  This time, it's because the Autumn has been quite mild, and:

the climate often follows a “balancing” pattern where periods of unusually warm or cold weather are followed by the direct opposite.

What - you mean after it's been warm for a bit, it then gets colder?  And then after that, it gets a bit warmer again?

Or to put it differently, the weather changes over time, around a central average?

No?  Really?  :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

I recall the Express doing this last year and they predicted apocalyptic conditions for winter.  My cousin was posting on Facebook about how he wouldn't be surprised if business ground to a halt.

Six months later, after not a drop of snow landed in the Northeast, he said he couldn't remember posting it. :roflmao:

This is quite amusing:

It generates a new Daily Mail style story each time you refresh the page.

I just got:

WILL CYCLISTS GIVE YOU DIABETES?

HAS FILTH ON TELEVISION DESTROYED BRITAIN'S SWANS? IS TEENAGE SEX MOLESTING TAXPAYERS? IS THE LABOUR PARTY INFECTING BRITAIN'S FARMERS WITH AIDS? WILL MUSLIMS INFECT THE QUEEN WITH AIDS? ARE THE UNIONS STEALING FROM CLIFF RICHARD?

:roflmao:

The terror level was raised to beige today after MI5 said that they certainly had vague yet specific intelligence about a probable certain threat that might or might not occur or not occur under certain circumstances on British soil or abroad perhaps unless another thing that might be a threat if it were to happen which it might or might not but it definitely might.

The terror plot probably involved louts who rumours have emerged have been involved in sacrificing goats to a gilded image of Ken Livingstone since 1978.

Norman Tebbit speaking from a hotel in Barbados said, "society needs to condemn a little more and understand a little less.".
