I have tried a tow start but nothing. the tandem pump is primed with the fuel coming out of the return hose, all connections were cleaned and put back but it still wont fire. any help would be greatly appreciated. E-bmw
If you have just changed the HG, I would recommend removing the rocker cover & checking all is well & it is timed correct mechanically. Is it petrol or diesel?
plip63
diesel, everything has been checked and double checked, but it still wont start. ive read that the ecu records a fault code if the injector plus is removed, would this cause it untill its cleared? thanks for the reply. E-bmw
If the battery was disconnected at the start of the job & not reconnected until the end (as you should on all such intrusive jobs) then, no. If everything has been connected properly, if there are no shown fault codes, that only leaves something physically fundamental such as fuelling or timing, so you need to get the spanners out & re-check everything again. Sorry.
