Booster
£150k!!! Wish I had the money and the foresight to invest in a few classics five years ago. Values have gone through the roof.
M8CKN
I'm waiting for the MK1 episode too, great programme.
patently
That DBS engine is beautiful. (Fits in about as easily as a Caterham, too )
patently
£150k!!! Beautifully presented though. Absolutely perfect as far as I could see - virtually a new car, yet still with a degree of originality (if you ignore the colours. And the gearbox. And the engine upgrade)
cruiser647
Feck feck feck!!!! Wanted to watch that too.
Scotty
Just finished watching on +1. Did they include labour costs as some of these programs "forget" Brilliant result!

Andy_Bangle
I watched it too, I be there's lots of people searching for AM's today Did they include labour costs as some of these programs "forget" It's a bit like 'Wheeler Dealers', they forget about labour costs whilst being constructive with the profit margin. For example Ant said that it generally took 6000 hours work to restore an Aston the final sale price (minus commission 15% + VAT) wouldn't even cover that. Once the professionals get in involved in a restoration you're unlikely to make to a profit. Pre-sale advert for the car with a 70k estimate: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C571368 http://www.coys.co.uk/past-auctions.php?auctionID=50 Edited April 20, 2015 by Andy_Bangle
Mook
Surprised and not surprised it fetched £150k, but nice to see the new owner would be driving it
cruiser647
Yes!!! It's on now on 4Seven HD! Excellent! Bloody familiar viaduct on the opening scenes! (The east coast mainline viaduct between Welwyn & Welwyn North!) I love a good bridge. Edited April 20, 2015 by cruiser647
Andrew
One of my dreams is to take an older Aston and pack it off to Works for modernisation, with no alteration to any external cosmetics. I just don't have £400k.
cruiser647
Would be great eh Andrew! It'd need better brakes for starters - after looking at their shell and seeing the 1 wee disc on each side of the front axle!
Andrew
I hope the "wee" wasn't for my benefit. I'm not Scottish! It would be a Vantage from the 90s or 80s. Complete rewire, suspension and brake upgrade, the works!

Rachel
Just saw this, and I almost spat my drink when he said he'd paid 37.5K pounds for the pigeon poo barn beast. It was a much better show than the Car SOS one that the Discovery/History channel do.
chasdrury
And some free advertising for our own Shark at the end. His logo was right behind the auction at the end!
