Audi confirm turbocharged V6 for next RS4.

One of the guys I worked with was senior management from Audi Germany and he had a S4 that had been factory fettled and that was just frighteningly quick, he said synonym runs put it between 440 and 450. It was insane, he'd declined a RS4 replacement because he didn't want a slower car!

V6 turbo will keep many very happy .... especially the tuners.

Will this be the same engine (with detail changes) that resides in the Panamera 4S Macan and Cayanne.

I suspect so unless they have a revamp due, but that would be unlikely in a RS model.

The Macan version is nice though (y)

A B8 S4 with a £750 stage 1 MRC remap alone (software only - no hardware mods) makes in the region of 460 bhp!

Sigh.  The death of the V8 rumbles on.  What a crying shame.

...and a 6 pot diesel too! :roflmao:

I still love the V8 engine.  Nothing (other than a V12) gets close to it.+++

The main difference being one was factory supplied with warranty accordingly.
