AudiPartner
I did it. Shame Huddersfield Audi were undergoing refurbishment and operating out of portacabins, but none the less it was nice to meet the guys. Shame too that being a 2009 car the satnav didn't take me down the A1M, and stuck with the 50mph M1, but on the bright side, I averaged 25 to the gallon and got home on 3/4 of a tank. Speaking of tanks... here it is: Mugello looks cracking when clean, and contrasts really well with the aluminium grill and trim I think, but it wasn't my first choice of colour. But the car is main dealer approved which was a must for me, and is an excellent spec with privacy glass and advanced key, and the light interior which I LOVE. So far I'm really pleased with the car. Naturally. Fuel isn't as bad as I thought which is a pleasant surprise, but so far most of my journeys have had at least one of my young boys in the car with me. See, children, they are an investment!! Touching on what was mentioned on another thread, there is no way on this earth this car can be compared to any 911 lower than the Turbo. The V10 is simply awesome. And to be able to fit a double buggy and a dog in the boot is great. The boot is noticeably bigger than the 5GT, even with the Quattro gubbins underneath. Happy days. Cheers guys.
CarMad
Excellent, glad you like it and thanks for sharing. My GT will be sticking around for a while. I can see a weekend car on the horizon instead but getting finance approval from an accountant is not an easy task.
AudiPartner
I still love my GT, and when parked side by side, from the rear I much prefer the look of it. It's more comfortable than the RS too, but I know better than to compare the two. It would be like comparing my RS to a 911. On the topic of borrowing, I couldn't believe how cheap it is at moment. HSBC offered me £10k over 5 years, at a cost of less than £200 per year! Repayments were just over £180 per month I think. NewNiceMrMe
It looks superb. Probably the perfect colour combination in my opinion and I think the interior leather looks very special in that colour.
AudiPartner
I learned today that there was a facelift, whereby the rear LED lights were updated. My inner lights on the boot lid look very scratched, but I think it is those age related surface cracks that you sometimes find. Anyway, on looking for replacements I noticed there were two types available. The new ones, and the old ones. Of course now I need to replace all 4 sections so they match. Damn you Google Images. NewNiceMrMe
That reminds me of an E46 M3 facelift. An almost invisible one. They lengthened the rear overhand of the number plate cover (the bit with lights in it) and changed to LED lights on the rear clusters. To the naked eye you'd have never noticed. Many M3 owners didn't even notice when they saw the 'face-lifted' model. However, the reason it sticks in my mind is that my E46 M3 Convertible had the face-lift. Did I know? Not a chance. Sheer fluke. But, another M3 buyer took delivery of his car 3 weeks before mine....and boy was he not a happy chap. He asked for the upgrade price. Over £1500. AudiPartner
I was going to upgrade the rear lights in my M3 but decided it wasn't a worthwhile exercise. Even when buying the £300 ish aftermarket copies. I also remember wanting to upgrade the headlights on my S3 to the newer single lights. Mine had separate headlights/indicators. Story of my life it seems - I can never afford the good one lol.
Booster
Looks lovely mate! I think the new style lights need to be coded to the car so watch out for that if you change them.

AudiPartner
25 MPG? You must have Helium in the tyres and the thing is floating a bit! Tell us about the sound......... it's awesome! And I've only heard it from inside the car! I did smile as I turned the corner in Sainsburys car park the other day and set a car alarm. That never gets dull!! People talk about replacing the exhaust to release yet more sound but being a family man I'm not sure that's a move I shall make.

CarMad
Awaits the shot when the little one comes out with lots of sun cream on their hands and what happens next. Now that will not be of beading water on paintwork I can tell you.

Mook
Isn't the Milltek supposed to be a bit "boomy"? The only boomy Milltek I've had was the one on my R32 - all the other ones have been great - you can hear the engine, but don't get deafened
