So, Valencia then...

66 posts in this topic

My money's on Pedrosa (he's on good form and has more wins here than anyone else at this circuit), then Marquez, then Lorenzo (or Lorenzo then Marquez). Rossi will probably tear through open class bikes before turn 1, then eat up most of the satellite bikes (except Crutchlow and Smith perhaps) before the end of lap 1. Which ever scenarios have been and will be played out and discussed, one things for sure, the race is going to be epic.

Nail-biting scenarios here:

Got to say, Yamaha's (eventual) response is pretty weak:

What else should they say?  Everyone knows the part about him deliberately kicking out and hitting MM's front brake is boll0cks so better to just say they disagree and move on.

Re the race, I can't see Dani or Marc getting involved at all.  Lorenzo will bugger off and win it at a canter.  In front of a Spanish crowd, at the last race of the season with another Spaniard on the brink of winning the title, neither of them will want to get within 20 yards of Lorenzo!

Sixth is a possibility for Rossi but he's never going to make it up to second place.  The only other scenario is Dovi and the Maniac doing it for the Italians and having a first corner 'racing incident' with Jorge!

Just checked world weather. Looks like it's warm and dry all weekend. Track temps will be nice too

Well, that's that done and I'm not surprised in the slightest. Now let's look forward to what can only be an epic race and an epic finish to what has been a fooking gripping season.

I fear a massively hyped anti-climax.....however if Rossi does do it then  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o

Rossi doesnt really have to worry about qualifying - he can set up his bike for race pace. (He usually does that anyway but its useful anyway.) Having said that he will have to ride his ass off..... it'll be good.

Interestingly enough and slightly ironic, Rossi will have to repeat Marquez's 2012 Moto 2 championship win from the same position on the grid at the same track.

I won't watch until I see the result first. I'll watch Danny Kent though.

I couldn't do that, not at this stage. Don't know if that's brave or nuts, Luke! I'll be watching, teetering on the edge of the settee...

I'm in London this weekend so won't be able to see the race until I get home on Sunday night.  Needless to say there will be a general avoidance of all things radio and internet related on Sunday.  I've also told my mates not to text me anything but will probably switch my phone off in the afternoon to dodge the risk of seeing something!

I see Lorenzo had to apologise for being a complete cock at Sepang. For s rider who is that good, he is a complete w*nker.

He's just different, and folk generally don't like different too much! He is an exceptionally skilled and consistent rider; probably the best truth be known (controversial I know, but hey)  +++
