JonC
Went for an early drive this morning and as I was approaching Battersea Bridge, I saw an matt black Aventador coming the other way. There was virtually no traffic on the roads, so it stood out even more so. As my headlights (it was about 8am so light, but headlights nonetheless) caught the car, a neon orange grid-like paintwork lit the car up. I didn't get a chance to take a piccy, but as soon as the car had past, so had the effect of the large grid of neon orange. I've never seen anything like it; quite amazing really. Private plate too. Andy_Bangle
I've seen a few cars with reflective Tron-style wraps, even an evoque (someone pass a bucket).
JonC
It was similar to that, but a damn sight nicer.
NewNiceMrMe
No this one then (judging by the fact it sounds more subtle at a distance):
JonC
Very similar indeed, but you couldn't see the lines until up close and with the headlights on the car. As the car past, the orange grid disappeared. Very trick.

JonC
Not quite a Halfords job, but yes, I suppose so. It was very effective. Looked demonic coming round the corner so wide and squat then lighting up.
cruiser647
Definite Tron effect. Seems people really do like to part with good money! Edited January 24, 2016 by cruiser647

Tipex
Lol, I did actually have a look on Ebay and see if they have any silver, but can't see any.
E-bmw
I suppose in reality silver is white. I actually quite like the look, but don't for one second think that means I am likely to do it to my own car.
patently
Hmmm. Totally tasteless on a road car, but for a track car…?
Tipex
I wouldn't do it to my daily driver, I most likely won't do it to the galaxy either, but given it's already plastered in graphics I'm tempted. Would have to be silver tape though so it's (almost) invisible during daylight.

eldavo69
It would look pretty sweet on the trailer on the way home, though! You'd get the same effect by just screwing a ball of the stuff up and sticking it on the trailer though at the end of a race weekend?

True. It's so embarrassing when something goes wrong on circuit.
eldavo69
True. It's so embarrassing when something goes wrong on circuit. It doesn't make for a good story to then go on and say that I fixed it, was back out on track an hour later and then drove it home though does it Do, erm, any of your videos go along those lines . . .
